Routelink Secures Virtual Network Operating License

Routelink Mobile Network

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has granted Routelink a Mobile Virtual Network Operating License (MVNO) to enhance service delivery and bridge the gap for underserved communities. This is the third license Routelink has received from the NCC, and it’s part of a new mobile license category in Nigeria.

Femi Adeoti, the Group Managing Director of Routelink, expressed excitement about the opportunities in the Nigerian telecom market. MVNOs do not own their wireless network but use another carrier’s platform, which can lead to lower costs, more service options, and better quality for subscribers.

Ikechukwu Nguzo, the Managing Director of Routelink Telecom, believes that introducing MVNOs in Nigeria can stimulate growth in the telecom industry and benefit consumers with expanded coverage, innovative services, improved offerings, and partnership opportunities. MVNOs have gained popularity worldwide due to the increased use of smartphones, mobile data services, and the demand for flexible mobile services. However, their success in Nigeria depends on factors like regulatory policies, infrastructure availability, and market demand.

Routelink Group is a prominent Nigerian Telecommunications, Payment/Fintech, and Enterprise solutions provider dedicated to enhancing connectivity and digital transformation in today’s rapidly changing world.
